Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. The replacement runs entirely in your browser.
Does this tool support regular expressions?
Yes. Switch to Regex mode to match patterns, and use $1, $2 and similar back-references in the replacement text to reuse captured groups.
What happens to the dollar sign in plain mode?
In plain mode the find text is matched literally, so $ is treated as an ordinary character. Back-references only apply in Regex mode.
