About this tool
Paste a full URL and instantly see every part of it: protocol, username, password, hostname, port, pathname, the query parameter list (with both raw and decoded values) and the hash. Edit, add or remove query parameters and the tool rebuilds the complete URL with correct percent-encoding. Everything is parsed locally with the browser's native URL API, so your URLs are never uploaded.
How to use
- Paste or type a full URL, for example https://user:pass@example.com:8080/a/b?x=1&x=2&q=%E4%B8%AD%E6%96%87#frag.
- Read each part: protocol, credentials, host, port, path, query parameters and hash.
- Edit, add or remove query parameters and copy the rebuilt URL.
What are the parts of a URL?
A URL is made of a protocol (https:), optional user credentials (user:pass@), a host or domain, an optional port, a path, an optional query string (?key=value) and an optional fragment (#hash). This tool splits them out for you.
Why are query parameters percent-encoded?
Characters such as spaces, &, = and non-ASCII text like Chinese cannot appear literally in a query string, so they are percent-encoded (for example 中 becomes %E4%B8%AD). The tool shows both the raw encoded value and the decoded one, and re-encodes everything correctly when rebuilding the URL.
Does parsing send my URL to a server?
No. Parsing and rebuilding use the browser's built-in URL API and run entirely on your device. Your URLs are never uploaded.
